By leveraging member retailers’ resources and channels, CCFA promotes consumers sustainability awareness and health concerns. The objective is to guide the industry to produce environment friendly products and promote economical, low-carbon and healthy way of living and to build sound interaction and mutual trust between the industry and consumers.

CCFA Sustainable Consumption Roundtable 

CRSR was jointly initiated in 2013 by CCFA and WWF with the goal to be the promoter of sustainable production and consumption in China. CRSR members include leading retailers, chain restaurants and institutes both online and offline, which will deliver a sustainable life style to the consumers. 


Green Sustainable Consumption Week

This is a non-profit public campaign initiated by CRSR in 2013, in order to promote the concepts of sustainable consumption information, certified sustainable products, green life style, and environmental awareness through multiple channels to China’s public society by engaging consumers in various activities. The participating store number has witnessed a rapid growth from 80 to nearly 2000 by 2018, influencing over 4 million consumers.



Save 12.3

The SAVE 12.3 Platform was launched in 2018 by IVL, CCFA and CHEARI to facilitate the implementation of SDG 12.3 in China, and has received strong support from organizations in China and abroad, including the Swedish embassy in China, UN FAO and WRAP. SAVE 12.3 focuses on production, retail and consumption of food, through thematic food waste reduction research, standards and regulations development, demonstration projects, awareness raising and promotion champions.

 

Quality Consumption Program

The Consumer Education Program“Valued Choice” was a non-profit campaign initiated by CCFA to deliver food safety knowledge and guide consumers in their choice of quality and healthy products, so as to increase interactions and mutual trust between the retailers and the consumers.
